The Montagnardes have taken on the challenge of renovating this house from 1888, former concession of the Balme Caves, while preserving its historic soul and creating a warm and welcoming place.

The Montagnardes took on the challenge of renovating this house from 1888, formerly a concession of the Grottes de Balme, while preserving its historical soul and creating a warm and welcoming place.
Facing technical constraints, particularly load-bearing walls that could not be moved, we rethought the layout to enhance each space creatively. Some rooms, accessible through the bathroom, offer a unique and intimate experience.
The interior decor carefully blends noble materials — solid parquet, Briare enamels, cement tiles — and authentic decorative elements like the restored moldings, which enhance the charm of yesteryear. The soft and poetic atmosphere, thought of as a family home, invites conviviality and comfort.
Today, the hotel is managed by Julien Magniot, who also ensures all catering services, open almost every day, at noon and in the evening. His classic, family-oriented cuisine focuses on good, simple, and healthy dishes, reinforcing the warm spirit of the place.
