Captivated by a breathtaking view, our client wanted to transform this rustic and aging chalet into a contemporary residence, while creating a terrace and a garage. The goal: to enhance the view in every room whenever possible.

Enticed by a breathtaking view, our client wanted to transform this rustic and aging chalet into a contemporary residence, while creating a terrace and garage. The goal: to enhance the view in every room whenever possible.
We rethought all of the volumes to open up the perspectives, working around a central staircase on three levels, fully clad in smooth oak panels. This wood, also used for wall coverings and storage, gives the place a strong architectural spirit, almost sculptural.
The kitchen combines wood and taupe gray, in a soft and harmonious palette, with a large high table extending from the island, which is the true center of life. In the living room, a bench faces the fireplace, but it is the bench integrated into the frame of a window that captures all the attention, turned towards the landscape.
The master bedroom opens onto a bathtub placed in front of the bay window, for a suspended moment facing the mountains. The children participated in the design of their bedrooms and bathroom, which they wanted to be colorful and cheerful.
