ART & DECORATION

In Megève, Winter Dream
Megève, its snowy mountains, its pedestrian streets, and its bulbous bell tower… It is in this idyllic village, as chic as it is natural, right next to the church, that this elegant house stands. A couple from England, crazy about winter sports, spotted it about fifteen years ago.
Built around 1980, it has been enlarged over time to acquire a typically Savoyard look with a façade and a balcony made of wood reclaimed from a 19th-century farm. The couple bought it and then undertook a long renovation campaign, completely reworking the layout of the 300 m2 spread over three floors. Outside, nothing will be modified: the façade and larch balcony will be preserved, as well as the roof with spruce lintels in accordance with regional tradition.
