Small Spaces, Big Ideas

This intervention was carried out as part of the restructuring of an old farmhouse in the heart of Megève. The project owners wanted all spaces to be redesigned, as well as the finishes of the interior.

The place, which had a lot of charm, absolutely should not be modified, but it needed to be made more modern and to allow as much natural light as possible.

The three levels were rethought by working on three light chromatic themes: green in the basement, white/gray for the living area, and blue for the space reserved for the homeowners.

This chromatic scheme evokes the alpine environment, with a green and vegetal spirit and another gray/beige that is more mineral, then the blue of ice and large glaciers.

To achieve the desired result, it was thus decided to lighten the colors as much as possible and to favor transparent materials. The night spaces in the basement were very dark and the bathrooms were not connected to the bedrooms.
