GREEN like in a fir forest

This is a long chalet with an unusual shape. It is built on the masonry base of an already existing double garage. This choice allowed for a traversing building, bathed in light throughout the day. On the upper floor, the living area opens on both sides to the landscape. Dressed in larch, the facade is rhythmically adorned with wooden slats. The same principle of clear paths is found inside. "I like to bridge the gap between interior and exterior to create coherence," emphasizes Hélène Roux, founder of Les Montagnardes, the interior architecture agency based in Magland in Haute-Savoie.
