There are places ahead of their time, and the Café de Balme is one of them! Long before the trend of concept stores, Hélène Roux and her team had envisioned the Café de Balme, a space dedicated to cooking in all its forms.
It features a small restaurant seating about twenty people, simple and pleasant, where you eat as if at home; corners of kitchen brands like Alki (tables and chairs), Jars (handmade dishes produced in Drôme), Mauviel (saucepans and frying pans), Kvänum (custom Swedish kitchens), Next 125 (custom kitchens), or the famous Opinel; and of course, the showroom where among others, stunning AGA and La Cornue stoves are displayed, “a symbol of the home spirit” according to Hélène Roux.
